Description of PID 105 – Intake Air Temperature Outside of Normal Operating Range

PID 105 indicates that the PLD-MR has detected the intake air temperature outside of the normal operating range.‪

The diagnostic condition is typically:‪

• Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Open Circuit (105 03).
• IAT Sensor Short to Ground (105 04).

Intake air temperature is monitored by the turbo boost air combination sensor installed in the intake manifold. See Figure "Turbo Boost Air Combination Sensor" .‪
